In these porcelain pieces the transformative quality of the clay body is central to the creative process. I push the materiality of the clay, layering different repetitive processes until the porcelain resembles other materials. Finally I rely on the viewer’s conscious and subconscious mind to bring their own associations to the pieces to determine what they see and feel.
