From the traditional to the impressionist, our artists capture the land and sea in a variety of styles, palettes and sizes. Mainly scenes of a Scottish nature, including some local scenes, with one or two from further afield or from the artist's inspired expression of a place.

Sometimes an artist is captivated by an object or person and is moved to capture that moment in time. This online room covers a variety of those 'moments' captured by a few of our artists.

Animal portraiture is always a popular subject and some of our artists specialise in this genre of painting. We also have artists, both professional and non-professional, who paint animals in addition to their usual artistic repertoire.

Illustration artwork, showcasing intricate details and diverse styles, invites visitors into the imaginative world of the artist, creating an immersive visual experience.

Abstract artwork is a genre that uses non-representational forms, colors, and compositions to convey emotion and meaning. This online exhibition room invites you to explore the diverse world of abstract art, where personal interpretation and emotion take centre stage.

Both porcelain pots and rustic everyday pots represent distinct traditions and styles within the world of ceramics. The former emphasizes aesthetics and fine craftsmanship, while the latter focuses on practicality and a connection to earthy, traditional values. We often have a collection of both styles. We also have a range of fused textured dichroic glass plates and dishes.

We have two artisans who create jewellery in two very distinctive and different styles. Textured dichroic glass costume jewellery from one of our makers is a popular choice for affordability and a bit of sparkle for that special party. We also have a beautiful collection of traditional silver jewellery crafted in various designs. Some pieces even feature Scottish stones, set in pendants, to provide a distinctive Scottish touch.

This genre covers a very wide spectrum of art and crafts. We have selected a couple of local makers who produce textile work that is either unusual or practical. We now stock some books from two of our multi-talented atrists and makers.

From the hand carved to the polished turned wood, this room shows the skills of two young artisans who excel in their chosen field of creating the useful and the beautiful from foraged local wood and a young professional metal-working artist who sometimes combines wood with metal.

We have a collection of Lino Cut Prints and Gel Plate Prints, some frame and other available to buy with a mount ready to frame.

This section includes smaller paintings, illustrations and original prints that are priced under £50. Some of these pieces are unframed in mounts for customers to choose their own frames to suit their homes. There are also some artworks presented on a greetings card format without frames or mounts which allows the customer to choose both the size and style of frame to suit their tastes.

Some of our artists reproduce fine art prints of their paintings. We have a selection of prints in our Gallery from several of our artists. These are an affordable alternative to purchasing the original piece.
