This piece was painted during the August En Plein Air Event 2024: Oot N Aboot In Kirrie. My mother and I spent the weekend painting together - and what a treat it was to paint outdoors as mother and son! We chose this view from the Hill for the undulating lines, colour and textures on the landscape. We chose to sit on Mr and Mrs Grubb's bench as we thought it poetic that we two artists and teachers should be painting on a seat commemorating two of the local area's most fondly remembered artists and teachers.
