Inspired by gentleness of the seed heads from the plant Lunaria Annua. I had taken some photographs of a spray of these dried seed heads to use as photographic references for a still life project I was working on. I decided to experiment with some digital painting techniques, altering the photograph which produced this this artwork. The digital painting techniques included the use of a special 'pen' which acts as a 'brush' to create painterly textures and colours. The work was then printed on a specialist sheet of real canvas which had been prepared for use in a large format pigment ink printer. Pigment inks are archival and as such will retain their true colour for many years, usually around one hundred years if preserved or produced on acid-free supports (papers or canvases etc) and kept out of strong light, particularly sunlight.
A combination of photograph and digital art. This is a limited edition of 200 prints. Each print has been individually signed and numbered by the artist.
