Pitcher, 7 inches tall. Green transfer. Maker is Stonier, Hollinshead & Oliver. In this pattern, the body of the pitcher features an image of hops and a butterfly on one side and a branch of blackberries, twig with oak leaf and acorns, and a bee on the other. The handle and inside rim borders consist of two intertwined vines with a smaller, more delicate leafy vine winding around them.

In 1875 Hollinshead & Stonier, at that time of the Ranelagh Works, were joined in partnership by Mr. Holmes and removed to the Upper Hanley Works, where they carried on the business under the style of Holmes, Stonier and Hollinshead until 1882. Then it was changed to Stonier, Hollinshead and Oliver. They produced earthenware and white granite for the home, American, Cape, and Australian markets.
