Pitcher, 6.75 inches tall. Brown transfer. Maker is unknown, although there are many illegible marks and an impressed figure eight in a rope-like design, perhaps a Staffordshire knot. The pattern is the same on both sides of the pitcher: a central motif of stylized flowerheads intermixed with leaves and other blossoms. There is also a theme of bands which appear beneath the neck, in the inner rim and on the handle
