'Wishes, Dreams and Lullabies,' Acrylic on Linen by Noelle McAlinden.
This bold, bright acrylic painting by Noelle McAlinden evokes thoughts of walking in one's dream through a landscape of chambers and tree trunks and limbs with strong vibrant colors of reds, oranges and greens converging. The abstract shapes of the landscape pull the viewer in to walk into, and along, the treescape into a mystical land.
Noelle's abstract works are inspired by experiments with color, texture, light and semi-animated marks, traces of life that somehow continue to be figurative. Her paintings cover surfaces and canvasses that have been distorted, distressed, layered with texture and color, with fragments that have been constructed and deconstructed exposing color beneath the surface. The painting is encased in a new white, wooden frame.
Noelle Mc Alinden is a practicing artist exhibiting locally, regionally and Internationally with work in public and private collections across the UK, Europe, US and Canada.
