The Shadows of Evening is a carbon drawing that resonates with high contrasting values during an evening sunset. My many hikes throughout the Wichita Mountains Refuge inspired this dramatic play of light and dark. The viewer feels the day dissipating as the shadows of the evening wrap the shapes of the earth.
