Discover grant and funding opportunities to support your institution's collection.
As stewards of an art collection, you know that it's paramount to protect, preserve and promote cultural heritage. You're also probably aware of your organization's budget. And now during the global Coronavirus pandemic, cultural institutions around the world are facing operational and financial challenges.
Funding, whether emergency relief or not, is important for your Continuity of Operations Plan (COOP), and to continue critical functions and resources. The good news is that funding has been in place before COVID-19 to support collections, and countries are standing up emergency funding programs to help offset lost revenue, cover operation costs, retain membership and staff, and keep museums and organizations afloat during event cancellations and building closures.
If your institution is in need of funding, please refer to this list of collection management, conservation and emergency initiatives.
Please note that this is not an exhaustive list and that depending on when you read this article, the deadline may have passed for the year. Many of these grants are recurring though. And if you know of a grant opportunity that is not listed, please share with us at Artwork Archive.
